Fall Programs have begun!
East Brunswick Racquet Club clinics are weekly group lessons for all ages and skill levels. We offer tennis clinics throughout the year, split up into four sessions per year. EBRC clinics run on a 6:1 player to coach ratio.
Players are allowed up to two (2) make ups per season. You must call 24 hours ahead to let us know your child will not be attending class. Make ups are not guaranteed if programs are at capacity (6 players per court - no exceptions). Once make ups are scheduled, if the player is unable to attend their makeup session, the class CANNOT be rescheduled.
In order to register, clinics must be paid for in full. If not paid, player will not be registered.
All card transactions are subject to a 3.25% processing fee.
Junior 10 & Under Program Descriptions
Tiny Tots: (Ages 3 - 4.5) EBRC’s Tiny Tots program is designed to introduce children to the sport of a lifetime, while also working on hand-eye coordination, agility, and balance. Players will learn the basic foundations and techniques of tennis in a fun and safe environment. Each session lasts one (1) hour and features a different theme.
Red Court: (Ages 5 - 8.5) No previous tennis experience is required. This program uses the 10 and under tennis model: smaller racquets, lower compression balls, and smaller-scaled courts. Children will learn the fundamentals of the game in a safe and fun environment. Hand-eye coordination, agility, and balance are emphasized throughout this program.
Red Court Advantage: (Ages 5 - 8.5) EBRC’s Red Court Advantage program is the next level up from Red Court. Players will continue to work on building coordination, agility, and balance in a fun and safe environment. In order to participate in this program, your child must be able to hold a consistent rally of 5 shots and start a point with a serve. During this program, children will compete against others in different match formats, work on their contact point, and learn spin, placement, and proper grips.
Red Ball Max*: (Ages 5 - 8.5) Red Ball Max will have more emphasis on live ball rally. Student should have good shot consistency, able to direct a serve, groundstrokes and volleys. *This class is invitation only.
Orange Court: (Ages 9 - 10) No previous tennis experience is required. This program uses the 10 and under tennis model: smaller racquets, lower compression balls, and smaller-scaled courts (60 ft). Children will learn the fundamentals of the game while learning in a safe and fun environment. Our goal is to have the children understand the scoring and formats in a tennis match, as well as hold a 6-ball rally. Proper grips will be emphasized.
Orange Court Advantage: (Ages 9 - 10) EBRC’s Orange Court Advantage program is the next level up from Orange Court. These players will continue to work on building coordination, agility, and balance in a fun and safe environment. In order to participate in this program your child must be able to hold a consistent rally of 6 shots, and start a point with an over arm serve. Your child should be able to compete in match play, as well as understand the rules of the game. Our pros will go over the technical and tactical aspects to developing your child into a tournament player.
Orange Ball Max*: (Ages 9 - 10) This program is designed for players competing in USTA and UTR tournaments. The goal is to further develop player's strategy and tactics used on court. *This class is invitation only.
Junior 11 & Up Program Descriptions
Green Court: (Ages 10 - 12) EBRC’s Green Court program is structured to refine our children’s strokes as well as rally development. By the end of the season our aim is to have the children understand the rules of tennis, how to keep score and compete in a match. Proper grips, footwork and spin will be emphasized in this program.
Green - Tournament Training: (Ages 10 - 12) EBRC’s Green Tournament Training program is the next level up from Green Court. These players will continue to work on shot selection and rally development. In order to participate in this program, you must be able to hold a consistent rally and have a consistent serve. You should be competing in match play as well as understand the rules to the game. Our pros will go over the technical and tactical aspects to developing your child into a tournament player. Children will learn the benefits of different spin and proper footwork.
Green Advanced Max*: (Ages 10 - 12) Designed for players who have surpassed our Green Tournament Training program. This clinic is a combination of drilling and overall player development. Students are taught strategy and shot selection. *This class is invitation only.
Yellow - Beginners: (Ages 12 & Up) This developmental program is an introductory to the sport of a lifetime. Our pros will break down each stroke to help players better understand contact and techniques needed to sustain a rally. Players will progress into rally development and aim to be able to play points by the end of the season.
Yellow - Challengers : (Ages 12 & Up) EBRC’s Level 3 program is for our intermediate players that can sustain a rally and are looking to refine some of their skills. This program will focus on footwork, grip and point development. Players will learn both the offensive and defensive side of a tennis match. In order to participate in this program, you must understand the rules of tennis, how to keep score, and should be playing matches.
Yellow - Tournament Training: (Ages 13 & Up) Our Level 4 program is for advanced players only. You must be competing or ready to compete in tournaments and/or match play. Our aim is to develop your child into a well-rounded tennis player by implementing different spin, depth, and shot selection. Your child will learn how to take the offense, play defensive, and learn to identify and take advantage of their opponent’s weaknesses.
High School: (Ages TBD) EBRC' High School program is for players who are competing or are ready to compete in Middle and High School team tennis.
There will be NO refunds for weekly clinics unless a doctor's note is provided. No exceptions.
If a player wishes to withdraw from a clinic session due to a medical issue and receive a refund, they must inform EBRC as soon as possible and provide us with a doctor's note. Once EBRC receives a doctor's note, the player will be refunded for the remainder of the session via original form of payment.
If a player wishes to withdraw from a clinic session for other reasons, they must inform EBRC as soon as possible. EBRC will withdraw the player from the class and issue credits for the remainder of the session. No exceptions.
Make up classes are NOT guaranteed. If classes are at capacity (6 players per class/court) and EBRC is unable to schedule make up classes for players, they are NOT eligible for a refund or credits. No exceptions.
