Programs and Camps Begin on July 6th
Catarina is a former WTA Tour player, having reached a career high rank of number 10. She reached the semifinals at Wimbledon and the Australian Open. Throughout her career she won five singles titles. Catarina coached two WTA players and served as the captain of the Swedish Fed Cup team from 2005-2007. She has also competed in the Olympics twice and is currently the Assistant Coach at Rutgers University
Todd is our Director of Tennis and a PTR Certified Professional in 10 & Under, 11 to 17 and Adult Development. He is also licensed in Cardio Tennis. Prior to coming to EBRC he was the Director of Tennis at the Cherry Hill Health & Racquet Club which won a national award and many regional awards from the USTA for their facility and programming. He attended Marywood University and led the team to four NCAA National DIII Tournaments.
Larry is certified by the PTR and has a degree of “Master of Tennis” in Junior Development as well as a certification in Adult Development at the Professional Level. He was the primary coach for numerous players who played college tennis and one player currently playing on the pro tour. While he enjoys teaching all ages, he has a strong background and commitment to working with 10 and under players. He believes there’s great potential in all players and seeks to motivate them to be the best they can be both on and off the court. Larry also serves on the USTA Eastern Board of Directors.
Kwok is a PTR Certified Professional specialized in coaching 10-17 year old Performance Players. He has completed the new PTR “Performance Level III Program”, which demonstrates his coaching skills and knowledge beyond PTR certifications as a “Certified Performance Specialist”. He was also a former Police Special Force Physical Trainer and holds various types of instructor certification in sports. In these past few years, he has been helping the local tennis community build up performance level players that are anticipating to participate in USTA/UTR tournaments and the high school team. Some of his players currently have positions in the high school team and others are top ranked in Regional, Sectional, and National, or within the ITF circuit.
Guillermo was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and started playing tennis at a very young age. By the age of 12, he was ranked #1 in his division and soon tennis become his life. He was a former ranked professional tennis player representing Argentina in the Junior Davis Cup. He achieved victories over players such as Marcelo Filipini, former #30 world ranking, Jaime Izaga former #18 and Sergio Cortes former #114. He also played against Thomas Muster #1 ATP, Franco Davin #30 ATP and Horacio de la Peña #31 ATP. Varela earned a full tennis scholarship in the United States but ended up returning back to his home country due to family circumstances and pursued a career as a paddle tennis player reaching #6 in the world.
Greg has been playing tennis all his life. He played collegiate tennis at Marywood University where he accomplished many remarkable achievements.
Chilson competed in three NCAA Division III Tournaments and was teammates with EBRC's Tennis Director, Todd. Greg can be found on court coaching all
ages and levels.
Kevin is our Head Pro at EBRC. With 14 years of coaching experience he is passionately dedicated in developing players of all different paths of life. Gabel was born and raised in Germany where he started coaching tennis at his fathers academy. He is certified with the PTR in 10 & Under Tennis and also holds a certification for pickleball. He can be found on court coaching 10 & Under , 11 & Up, High Performance and Adults!
Marius has been a USPTA Certified Tennis Professional since 1996. He was a nationally ranked Junior and Collegiate player from Romania. Marius brings over 25 years of coaching experience to EBRC and can be found working with juniors and adults of all levels.
Bass has been playing tennis all his life. He represented the Egyptian National Team when he was younger and held an ITF ranking. He has been coaching since 2002 and can be found on court working with juniors and adults of all levels.
Adrian has a Master’s Degree in Physical Education and Sports. June 1991-Bucharest, Romania with specialization in Tennis. He played in the Romanian Collegiate Tennis Division 1 from 1992 to 1994 he coached Qadsia Sporting Club in Kuwait, helping the top players in the country prepare for Qatar Open . Since 1996 he worked for Tom Cuming at Brunswick Hills Racquet Club teaching private and group lessons and coached many nationally ranked players: One of these players included Lauren Barnikow who was ranked #3 in the country and a Finalist at the Junior Australian Open in Doubles (Jan 2000) She graduated Stanford University on a tennis scholarship. Chis is also one of the stringers at EBRC.
